Bristol Myers Squibb approached EY Life Sciences Advisory consultants to help them paint a clearer picture of shifts occurring within the healthcare industry. EY consultants also provided possible solutions on how Bristol Myers Squibb could evolve its marketing strategy and partnerships with Medical groups, Hospitals, and Insurance Companies in 10 core population centers across the United States.

Process

Advisory staff provided the design team with over 200 pages of data on working relationships within healthcare delivery services in 10 core urban population centers. Our task was to create a narrative focusing on relationships between IDNs (Independent Delivery Networks), Pharmacies, Insurance Payers, Alternative Care groups, and the shift in approach to improving population health.

After parsing through all the data provided and conducting our own research on healthcare trends in the United States, we discovered that most healthcare ecosystems were moving towards a “Fee For Value” model and away from the current “Fee For Service” model.
